i thought it was tigers or owls or sophia petrillo but maybe it’s everything
at the window just now a huge winged bird got stuck and was banging around like that scene in Kentucky Fried Movie. really banging. i was in another room and heard tapping, then banging, and thought maybe one of the neighbors was doing something weird. then i see the bird, stuck on the window. huge, like a hawk.
i couldn’t get the camera out quick enough and now no one will believe me
it’s like the time that a paper airplane landed on the windowsill outside the office building i was working at. 17th floor, downtown, we did not have the ability to open the windows because of the hvac system. but there it was, someone’s perfectly crafted paper airplane. i should have taken it as a sign then so beyond my best judgement i will take huge wings as a sign now.

I read in the newspaper recently that owls have indeed been spotted in the Chicago area. A nest has been located, but it’s location (in a city park) was not published, for the safety of the birds.
You may not be hallucinating after all. Then again, you may. I’m not sure which is better.
my friend wolf said it was probably a Peregrine Falcon. they like cities. i still think it was a sign, like flat tires.
